Ingredients

Salad:
1 package (3 ounce) lemon flavored gelatin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup boiling water
3/4 cup cold water
2 fresh USA Red Bartlett pears, unpeeled, cored and diced - see note
1/2 cup halved seedless red grapes
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Creamy Dressing:
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
1 Tablespoon grated lemon zest
Garnish:
Red Bartlett pear slices - see note
2 Tablespoons lemon zest

Directions:

Salad:
Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water. Add cold water. Chill until partially set.

Add pears, grapes, celery and nuts. Pour into 4- cup mold and chill until set.

Unmold and serve with Creamy Waldorf Dressing. Serve garnished with pear slices and lemon zest.

Creamy Dressing:
Combine mayonnaise, whipping cream, sugar and 1 tablespoon lemon zest; mix well.

Note:
Red Bartletts taste very much like yellow Bartletts, but have an attractive red striped skin that provides color and flash in salads and molds. However, any variety of pear can be substituted.
